1 我又看见另有一位大力的天使，从天降下，披着云彩，头上有虹。脸面像日头，两脚像火柱。
I saw a mighty angel coming down out of the sky, clothed with a cloud. A rainbow was on his head. His face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire.

2 他手里拿着小书卷是展开的。他右脚踏海，左脚踏地。
He had in his hand a little open book. He set his right foot on the sea, and his left on the land.

3 大声呼喊，好像狮子吼叫，呼喊完了，就有七雷发声。
He cried with a loud voice, as a lion roars. When he cried, the seven thunders uttered their voices.

4 七雷发声之后，我正要写出来，就听见从天上有声音说，七雷所说的你要封上，不可写出来。
When the seven thunders sounded, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from the sky saying, "Seal up the things which the seven thunders said, and don't write them."

5 我所看见的那踏海踏地的天使，向天举起右手来，
The angel who I saw standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to the sky,

6 指着那创造天和天上之物，地和地上之物，海和海中之物，直活到永永远远的，起誓说，不再有时日了。（或作不再耽延了）
and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there will no longer be delay,

7 但在第七位天使吹号发声的时候，神的奥秘，就成全了，正如神所传给他仆人众先知的佳音。
but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, then the mystery of God is finished, as he declared to his servants, the prophets.

8 我先前从天上所听见的那声音，又吩咐我说，你去把那踏海踏地之天使手中展开的小书卷取过来。
The voice which I heard from heaven, again speaking with me, said, "Go, take the book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the land."

9 我就走到天使那里，对他说，请你把小书卷给我。他对我说，你拿着吃尽了，便叫你肚子发苦，然而在你口中要甜如蜜。
I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little book. He said to me, "Take it, and eat it up. It will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey."

10 我从天使手中把小书卷接过来，吃尽了。在我口中果然甜如蜜。吃了以后，肚子觉得发苦了。
I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up. It was as sweet as honey in my mouth. When I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter.

11 天使（原文作他们）对我说，你必指着多民多国多方多王再说预言。
They told me, "You must prophesy again over many peoples, nations, languages, and kings."
