提摩太前书2:1-7
1我劝你第一要为万人恳求祷告，代求，祝谢。2为君王和一切在位的也该如此。使我们可以敬虔端正，平安无事的度日。3这是好的，在神我们救主面前可蒙悦纳。4他愿意万人得救，明白真道。5因为只有一位神，在神和人中间，只有一位中保，乃是降世为人的基督耶稣。6他舍自己作万人的赎价。到了时候，这事必证明出来。7我为此奉派，作传道的，作使徒，作外邦人的师傅，教导他们相信，学习真道。我说的是真话，并不是谎言。
1I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. 5For,There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. 6He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone.This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time. 7And I have been chosen as a preacher and apostle to teach the Gentiles this message about faith and truth. I’m not exaggerating—just telling the truth.
