彼得后书3:3-7
3第一要紧的，该知道在末世必有好讥诮的人，随从自己的私欲出来讥诮说，4主要降临的应许在哪里呢？因为从列祖睡了以来，万物与起初创造的时候仍是一样。5他们故意忘记，从太古凭神的命有了天，并从水而出藉水而成的地。6故此，当时的世界被水淹没就消灭了。7但现在的天地，还是凭着那命存留，直留到不敬虔之人受审判遭沉沦的日子，用火焚烧。
3Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. 4They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.” 5They deliberately forget that God made the heavens long ago by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water. 6Then he used the water to destroy the ancient world with a mighty flood. 7And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgment, when ungodly people will be destroyed.
