帖撒罗尼迦后书3:6-12
6弟兄们，我们奉主耶稣基督的名吩咐你们，凡有弟兄不按规矩而行，不遵守从我们所受的教训，就当远离他。7你们自己原知道应当怎样效法我们。因为我们在你们中间，未尝不按规矩而行。8也未尝白吃人的饭。倒是辛苦劳碌，昼夜作工，免得叫你们一人受累。9这并不是因我们没有权柄，乃是要给你们作榜样，叫你们效法我们。10我们在你们那里的时候，曾吩咐你们说，若有人不肯作工，就不可吃饭。11因我们听说，在你们中间有人不按规矩而行，什么工都不作，反倒专管闲事。12我们靠主耶稣基督，吩咐劝戒这样的人，要安静作工，吃自己的饭。
6And now, dear brothers and sisters, we give you this command in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ: Stay away from all believers#3:6a Greek from every brother. who live idle lives and don’t follow the tradition they received#3:6b Some manuscripts read you received. from us. 7For you know that you ought to imitate us. We were not idle when we were with you. 8We never accepted food from anyone without paying for it. We worked hard day and night so we would not be a burden to any of you. 9We certainly had the right to ask you to feed us, but we wanted to give you an example to follow. 10Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “Those unwilling to work will not get to eat.” 11Yet we hear that some of you are living idle lives, refusing to work and meddling in other people’s business. 12We command such people and urge them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and work to earn their own living.
