希伯来书11:2-5
2古人在这信上得了美好的证据。3我们因着信，就知道诸世界是藉神话造成的。这样，所看见的，并不是从显然之物造出来的。4亚伯因着信献祭与神，比该隐所献的更美，因此便得了称义的见证，就是神指他礼物作的见证。他虽然死了，却因这信仍旧说话。5以诺因着信被接去，不至于见死。人也找不着他，因为神已经把他接去了。只是他被接去以先，已经得了神喜悦他的明证。
2Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation. 3By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen. 4It was by faith that Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did. Abel’s offering gave evidence that he was a righteous man, and God showed his approval of his gifts. Although Abel is long dead, he still speaks to us by his example of faith. 5It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying—“he disappeared, because God took him.”#11:5 Gen 5:24. For before he was taken up, he was known as a person who pleased God.
