诗篇8:
1（大卫的诗，交与伶长。用迦特乐器。）耶和华我们的主啊，你的名在全地何其美。你将你的荣耀彰显于天。
2你因敌人的缘故，从婴孩和吃奶的口中，建立了能力，使仇敌和报仇的，闭口无言。
3我观看你指头所造的天，并你所陈设的月亮星宿，
4便说，人算什么，你竟顾念他。世人算什么，你竟眷顾他。
5你叫他比天使（或作神）微小一点，并赐他荣耀尊贵为冠冕。
6你派他管理你手所造的，使万物，就是一切的牛羊，田野的兽，空中的鸟，海里的鱼，凡经行海道的，都服在他的脚下。

3When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you set in place—
4what are mere mortals that you should think about them,human beings that you should care for them?#8:4 Hebrew what is man that you should think of him, / the son of man that you should care for him?
5Yet you made them only a little lower than God#8:5a Or Yet you made them only a little lower than the angels; Hebrew reads Yet you made him [i.e., man] a little lower than Elohim.and crowned them#8:5b Hebrew him [i.e., man]; similarly in 8:6. with glory and honor.
6You gave them charge of everything you made,putting all things under their authority—
7the flocks and the herdsand all the wild animals,
8the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea,and everything that swims the ocean currents.
9O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!
